Assistant welder's primary responsibility is to assist in welding modular structures of the kiosk according to pre-established design with the highest consistency and accuracy for easy assembly on site. You will also repair/repurpose metal structures as needed.

Key Result Areas:

Welding Efficiency: Ensure modular parts are welded in the allocated time by maintaining quality all the time.
Jig and Frame Development: Ensure welding and assembly processes are made easy by consistently developing and improving jigs and frames at the direction of the welding specialist.
Field jig/ frame: foundation form, elevated tank form, manhole, meter stand, other forms needed on the field.
In-workshop production: develop jigs and frames to assist in all workshop production.
Maintain existing mini-grids: this involves ensuring existing structures are prevented from breaking down by performing routine care such as painting, repairing metal works.

Responsibilities

Implement all in-workshop production orders related to welding and painting finished parts.
Develop Jigs and frames to help replicate the modules in the workshop as quickly as possible while keeping all standards and quality.
Develop and weld other jigs/concrete forms needed by the foundation, and pipeline teams.
Work with the team in design process the new modular parts of the kiosk and tank support.
Participate in the research and development to improve the kiosk and implement the 1 mini grid by week.
Work with the longevity officer to maintain existing mini grids as the need arises or as the preventive schedule shows.
Ensure a safe working environment in the workshop.


Qualifications


           - TVET Certificate in Welding or related
            - A1 Certificate in Welding/ Manufacturing Production

    Benefits:

    1. Salary RWF 160, 475 monthly gross salary with deductions of PAYE, RSSB, RAMA Insurance.
    2. Transport Allowance: RWF63,584 gross transportation allowance to facilitate movement for meetings and timely show-ups at the office. Employee is open to receive all other benefits such as communication cards as is usual for Water Access Rwanda employees.
    3. An Additional RWF 40,000 Retention bonus accessible monthly after the end of probation but awarded with a cliff of 3 years.
